Tire Scouter is free to use. We pay for it partly through commissions from some of the retailer links on the site. This page explains which links can earn us money and what that does and doesn't change.
Which links can earn a commission
- Amazon, through the Amazon Associates Program
- eBay, through the eBay Partner Network
- Mavis Tire, through CJ (Commission Junction), shown only to visitors in states Mavis serves
Links to stores we have no program with, such as some of the other retailers in a tire's store list, earn us nothing. We include them so you can compare. Using any of our links doesn't add to what you pay.
What commissions don't change
- A tire's spec score, which comes only from its manufacturer specs
- Which tires we list for your vehicle, and the written analysis of each one
- Brands can't pay for placement, and we don't publish sponsored content
What they do change
In a tire's list of stores, the stores we have a program with are listed first, and the Check Prices button goes to one of them. We don't show prices themselves; see how we score tires for how price is used.

Tire Scouter is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
eBay Partner Network
Tire Scouter participates in the eBay Partner Network. We may earn a commission when you follow our eBay links and make a qualifying purchase, at no additional cost to you.
