About Tire Scouter
Tire Scouter is an independent tire research site. We help drivers answer two questions: which tires actually fit my vehicle, and how do the options compare — without having to decode UTQG codes, load indexes, and speed ratings on their own.
Who We Are
Content on this site is produced by TireScouter Editorial, a small independent team. We are not affiliated with any tire manufacturer or retailer, and no brand pays for placement in our rankings — ever.
Where Our Data Comes From
Our catalog covers 1,300+ tire models and 17,000+ vehicle fitments. The underlying data comes from manufacturer specifications and government-mandated UTQG ratings (treadwear, traction, and temperature grades), matched against OEM vehicle fitment records.
Our scores and performance profiles are estimates derived from those specs — they are not road-test results, and we do not display user reviews. Where you see written analysis of a tire model, it is AI-assisted analysis based on the tire's specifications and market positioning, reviewed by our editorial team. We label estimated data as estimated wherever it appears. The full detail is on our methodology page.
What We Don't Do
- We don't display tire prices — retailer links let you check current pricing directly
- We don't run our own physical tire tests
- We don't accept payment from brands for rankings or placement
How the Site Is Funded
Tire Scouter is free to use. We earn a commission when you buy through some retailer links on the site — currently through the Amazon Associates program. Commissions never influence how tires are ranked. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure.
